Cuidiú antenatal classes
Our antenatal courses cover labour & birth, coping with labour, breathing and relaxation techniques and pain relief options etc. with the emphasis on helping yourself have the most straightforward birth possible and also preparing parents to be able to make informed decisions.
We will be looking at the process of birth, at what your body has to do on the day, and what simple things you can do to help yourself. We will also explore what practices / policies / services you can expect from your chosen maternity unit.
We will also cover life with your new baby (breastfeeding, practical babycare, postnatal depression, changes in relationships, meeting your baby’s needs etc.). The group size is kept small so that everyone gets the most out of the course.
The price includes membership of Cuidiú for a calendar year and if possible we will arrange a labour ward tour. We will also have a postnatal reunion when all the babies are born.
Prices range from €150-€180 depending on venue and format (1-day, 2-half days, 4 evenings or private in your own home (4 hour session))
